About the Authors
J.R. Johnston
I have been in the building industry for 16 years and have completed over 375 building projects. Some of these projects were over a million dollars and some were less than one hundred thousand. However small or large a project may be I take the same amount of pride in getting it done in a timely manner and with the quality I would expect for myself.
I have had several subcontractors working for me over the years and have had great working relations with many. In 16 years of contracting I have had to fire my share of the bad ones as well.
I can only hope that this booklet helps to prepare you for your most important construction process and leads you into a satisfying building project
C.W. Cox
I have been in full time construction for almost 4 years. During that time I have had the opportunity to construct approximately 75 projects. Those projects range from 900 sq. ft. homes to over 40,000 sq. ft. commercial facilities and clinics. I have developed broad experience in a short time with many different diverse subcontractors, construction crews, and people.
General contracting is not a science and you have to be able to adapt to the situation at hand. We may face weather conditions one day to people's misunderstandings the next. We developed this booklet to try and give you advice that has proven itself to us. Thanks for purchasing our booklet and I hope it helps you in some way. HAVE FUN!! |
